Fun fact - your claim is entirely untrue not only was she not the first gorilla to ever reside at Zoo Berlin, but she was beaten to the title by over 30 years and two of her predecessors were even the subject of guidebook covers from the collection - the most famous being Bobby, who is depicted in the zoo logo to this day.

Fatou was the first to give birth at the zoo, which might be where the misunderstanding lies! She's an incredible lady but you can definitely see her age on both her face and the way she moves.
