Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo - Orangutan Exhibit

July 2008. Two mesh enclosures, separated for two different groups of orangutans. There are 65-foot, enormous fake banyan trees that have loads of ropes and vines hanging off of them in the center of the habitats. One of the mesh enclosures also has gray/mueller's gibbons swinging around on the huge tree, and overall I like these exhibits as for once the orangutans are actually off of the ground in a major zoo.

The trees are enormous for the orangs, and sink much lower than the surrounding visitor boardwalk. Having humans in the photo gives an impression of the size of the climbing structures.
