the island is now used for siamang. Not sure how long ago this photo was taken, but there were originally patas monkeys on there and then there was a period where it sat empty (before the siamang went on there). The structure behind the island is a viewing tower on the opposite side of the moat. The paddock in the background is for the white rhinos
