The otters can also access the other orangutan and gibbon islands and the moats around them. The aviary has since been finished, but the birds (wrinkled hornbill, Sclater's crowned pigeon and greater hill mynas) have not used the outdoor yet.
@twilighter It has been fully open since the summer of 2022 (a few weeks before this series of pictures was taken), the aviary (indoor and outdoor) has since been finished. The primates however have not yet spent much time using their islands, hopefully they will get to do so this spring and summer.
 
@twilighter Yes, for an exhibit this major they certainly constructed it fairly quickly. It did help that the project repurposed an existing greenhouse (it previously housed birds, gibbons and smaller mammals).
