@Zoofan15 This is the day room; the orangutans usually sleep down below in separate quarters. This exhibit serves as a third enclosure, and can house the orangutans indoors (and still on display) during extreme weather - especially on those cold days the orangutans hate!
@Jambo It’s great they have this facility. As you’ll be aware, Auckland Zoo used to have a dayroom, where you could see them on a rainy day; but their current exhibit has only outside viewing available. The plus is, the viewing window is sheltered so on a rainy day they come right up to the glass.
