Orangutan island at Chester Zoo, 06/07/13

Currently housing Blackpool\'s Bornean orangutans which are on-loan at Chester whilst their enclosure is under construction.

When this house first opened, this island was used by the adult Lowland Gorillas 'Jason' and 'Gogal' for a time, before both(at different times) were finally transferred to Bristol Zoo. The male 'Jason' was on here alone for a while, the last Gorilla at Chester.
