This is the orangutan island, in Zoo de la Boissière du Doré. Since more than 15 years, one of the largest orangutan families in Europe live here. The last baby born here, Becky, was born in 2010 and a new birth is planned for next year. The patriarch of the group, Major, is now 49 years old and was one of the oldest reproducer males in the world.
They live with some white-handed gibbons and asian otters.
