Baan Maka Nature Lodge, 03-11-2023. The third of four owl species we saw in Thailand, spotted only a mere 10 or 15 minutes after we saw the scops owl. This animal didn't mind the attention and was still in the same spot when I came back 30 minutes later. Lovely species :)
Yes! The first night walk was a great success with multiple snake and frog species, bay owl, scops owl, a pitta, blue flycatcher and a nightjar!

The second night walk did not measure up, besides invertabrates we only saw 1 interesting species (the boobook)

Luck is a really important factor.
