A deviation from the usual animal and exhibit photos but still interesting one imo nonetheless.
This, along with a number of other zoo-related paraphernalia is on show at the NS30 exhibit at East Lodge commemorating Night Safari's 30th anniversary since its inauguration. Particularly interesting is the part that I've chosen to highlight, a trail called the Anaconda Trail, which houses mostly South American taxa (but also Tasmanian Devil and Marbled Cat!). Apart from this, there is also a slew of mouth-watering hoofstock taxa, like takin, serow and musk deer to name a few.
@Pigeon I wonder which species of Takin, Serow, and Musk deer they were planning to acquire and from where? My other question was, would Takin and Musk deer be able to acclimate to Singapore's climate? Then I realized Taman Safari Bogor has Mishmi takins (Budorcas taxicolor taxicolor). I assume Lyn De Alwis was behind these specific plans in the photo above?
I am also curious, what species of serow were they going to acquire for this blueprint? Would I be correct in assuming Indochinese serow (Capricornis maritimus) or Sumatran serow (Capricornis sumatraensis)?
