Do you have an idea what kind of ostrich (commercial domestic or real wild form) they have at this breeding farm. Notorious is of course the commercial black ostrich .... I was kind of hoping blue ostrich ... of Somali/NE Africa origins ...., but this animal is in the stade so not really easy to discern.

Thanks for the question. To be honest, I really don't know about this. I've seen ostriches at a lot of places in Malasia, and they mostly look the same.
The only ostrich tat looked a bit different is the single animal at Penang Bird Park. It's signed "Blue Necked Ostrich". I'll try to find a nice photo of the animal.

Whether the individual bird here is actually either blue-necked S. molybdophanes or red-necked S. camelus or the hybrid/crossbreed black-neck (only a term in the commercial ostrich farming practice ...) is open to debate .... Of course!
