An arctic fox used to (2004) live on the rocky area behind this exhibit. I've got a couple of photos of it which I can upload.
EDIT: My printer's on the blink so I can't upload the photos at the moment, however, I have two of it in my album, one with a seal in the pool and an arctic fox just visible on the beach behind as well as a close-up of the fox.
@redpanda: I just checked a book that I have on the Central Park Zoo (Joan Scheier) and there is an arctic fox pictured right where you mentioned it should be. You are right! However, I have no idea whether or not there are still foxes behind the harbour seals.

Cool, as soon as I can get my printer to work (I think it's something to do with the ink so not too serious) I'll scan and upload the pictures. It will indeed be good to find out whether they still have foxes as I always considered it a rather interesting exhibit.
