Actually gentle lemur, although palm nut vultures do rely on palm fruits throughout much of their range Palm nut vultures do eat (occasionally solely) on the fruits of the date Palm especially in areas where the latter species is unreliable as a source of food. I'm sure this was the reason for the zoos choice of information but is a good observation from your account.
