Ugly looking , totally inbred theme park monsters.....Only Siegfried and Roy can love such animals....Maybe, because both are more woman than man....

Its a shame, there are so many really endangerd animals which needs the space, and these zoos are keeping white lions and tigers.....

Ouch!
My thoughts exactly mind ;)
Good pic though.

For white lions, they sure don't look white to me.

Tell me are you saying that because Z & R are gay. They are more likely to appreciate "Ugly looking , totally inbred theme park monsters" ?

They are definitely not ugly, it's a beautiful photo. However, they are highly inbred and the AZA does oppose breeding both white lions and white tigers. I believe Cincinnati has not bred since the one litter, right? The subspecies name is P.l. krugeri, although that is probably no longer valid. Most taxonomists now agree there are only two subspecies: african (P.l. leo) and asiatic (P.l. persica). Possibly a third with barbary (or north african) lion, extinct in the wild, but bred in european zoos.
