A view of the Tree-Top Walk inside the Jungle Trek in the Papiliorama. From here visitors can get an overlook of most of the Jungle Trek whilst attempting to find birds and reptiles in the tree tops.

Jungle Trek is a dome-shaped tropical house 40 meters in diameter and 18 meters tall. It was opened in 2008 and was a major expansion of the Papiliorama.

Jungle Trek is meant to be “a little piece of Shipstern”, the nature reserve in Belize that the Papiliorama Foundation manages in situ, and shows wildlife from that region.

This tropical house sports an impressive list of free-ranging species:

Mammals
- Seba’s short-tailed bat (Carollia perspicillata)

Birds
- Great curassow (Crax rubra)
- Roseate spoonbill (Ajaia ajaja)
- Green jay (Cyanocorax yncas)
- Tropical mockingbird (Mimus gilvus gilvus)
- Blue-crowned motmot (Momotus momota)
- Northern cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis)
- White-winged dove (Zenaida asiatica)
- Common ground-dove (Columbina passerina)
- Blue ground-dove (Claravis pretiosa)
- White-fronted dove (Leptotila verreauxi)
- Caribbean dove (Leptotila jamaicensis)
- Green-backed heron (Butorides striata)
- Grey-necked wood-rail (Aramides cajanea)
- Blue-winged teal (Anas discors)
