Parking Lot Map (1800 Stalls)

Aug. 16th, 2012.
Have you ever been in a zoo parking lot that had some kind of fun or interesting element to it?

The Los Angeles Zoo parking lot has been repaved to collect runoff and is now planted with native California plant species so it's basically a native plant garden. I'm wondering if there are any other cool zoo parking lots out there.

Blackbrook Zoo has a cool collection of birds in the car park that I only discovered on the way out. Unfortunately my camera had run out by this point and all I can remember is a few species of turacos and owls.

Last time I was there these aviaries also held blue-winged kookaburras, pond herons, Temminck's tragopans and satyr tragopans [I'm sure there's more, but them 4 stick in my mind]. Also paddocks for various waterfowl and Darwin's rhea.

did you park in the snow leopard section?

I originally had no idea but after your remark I checked the map and I did indeed park in the snow leopard section! It must have been fate! I visited the zoo on 3 consecutive days and on two of them I parked in the snow leopard zone as it is closest to the entrance and just down a short hill.
