I've had the idea to design zoos for cities and countries that lack them, so here's my entry for a zoo in León, in Castilla-León, Spain. Feel free to suggest any city or town in dire need of a zoo or aquarium in the comments below! :D
Bear in mind: the climate in León is rather chilly for Spain, with yearly temperatures oscillating between 4 and 20° celsius, and it's rather humid and muggy in winter.
Species list:
Goldfish
Central Lake:
White-headed duck (Oxyura leucocephala)
Ruddy shelduck (Tadorna ferruginea)
Common shelduck (Tadorna tadorna)
Yellow-breasted capuchin (Sapajus xanthosternos)
Lar gibbon (Hylobates lar)
Chilean flamingo (Phoenicopterus chilensis)
Vicuña (Vicugna vicugna)
Capybara (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris)
Darwin's rhea (Rhea pennata)
Puma (Puma concolor)
Eastern black rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis michaeli)
Bonobo (Pan paniscus)
European tree frog (Hyla arborea), Perez's frog (Pelophylax perezi), spiny toad (Bufo spinosus), natterjack toad (Epidalea calamita), fire salamander (Salamandra salamandra), Iberian newt (Lissotriton boscai)
@SivatheriumGuy Glad you like it!
Any suggestions of a town anywhere in dire need of a zoological collection? Bremen comes to mind, I just don't know what could make it stand out among all the other German greats. Within Spain, Bilbao/Pamplona and Mérida comes to mind, so if you'd like to make some suggestions about those or more, please by all means do so.
@SivatheriumGuy Then I'll get working on that. Any suggestions on what species/approaches could give them a fresh touch? Feel free to PM me to give them if you wish!
