I realise that it may be slightly confusing as to what this picture is actually showing so I will explain as far as possible.
This picture was taken through a glass viewing window which looks into the outdoor enclosure. What you can see in this picture is around a third of the outdoor area. When I visited, it was just completely bare grass but there were signs saying that other things (climbing equipment etc.) would be added. The area is all netted over over in the same manner as very large aviaries with a couple of poles holding up the top. On the right is the edge of the (at the time of visit yet to be opened) evolution pavilion which I believe will house the indoor area for the chimps.
