No they were at the National Dutch Bird exhibition, called VOGEL 2017 ( at least this year, next year it will be VOGEL 2018 ). All these birds - next to the doves and pigeons also loads of parrots and parakeets, songbirds ( I counted around 120 different species ! ) are from privat keepers and breeders.
Thanks, that would be interesting to visit. Do they have many species not often seen in zoos?
I don't think we have anything similar but I could be wrong.
Lots of species rarely ( or even none at all ) on display in zoos esp. many of the smaller estrids but also quite a number of parrots and parakeets, doves and so on !
