Penguin Coast

Do you know if this exhibit used to keep something else? I wondered if it was once used for seals or maybe bears.

This was built from the ground up specifically for the Penguins. The location it sits on did have an old Bear Grotto from when the zoo was rebuilt in the 80's, and once that had run its course the viewing windows actually were turned into smaller exhibits for fishers, porcupines etc. Actually the Stone and rock work outside the exhibit and the side where guests are was the original exhibit.
