@snowleopard Now that you have seen most of the penguin exhibits in North America, how does Penguin Encounter (built in 1978) hold up in comparison to modern penguin exhibits?
@DavidBrown If I had a few dollars for every penguin exhibit that I've come across then I'd be a rich man. SeaWorld San Diego has its spectacular Penguin Encounter that has stood the test of time and it's a remarkable achievement as it's still one of the better penguin exhibits in North America. I really like the walk-through setups at Calgary Zoo and Saint Louis Zoo, with frigid temperatures and birds splashing visitors with water. Even though those two zoos have penguin enclosures that aren't huge, the visitor experience is incredible. Detroit Zoo's $30 million Penguinarium is a contender for the best around for Antarctic species, with a deep pool and a large amount of space for an impressive collection of penguins.
