One of the coolest and (briefly) most intimidating wildlife experiences I've had in awhile! This Peregrine came barreling in from over the river to chase pigeons around the parking lot at high speed, at one point banking away only three to four feet away from my face!
It failed to catch a pigeon, but then landed on a short telephone pole and sat there chilling. It didn't seem to mind me taking lots of photos, more interesting in watching the freaked out pigeons that were still crazily flapping about. Got lots of very nice photos from the encounter!
