Yes they are in what used to be the Addax drive through which,is the first set of gets you go through after leaving the main,African reserve just before entering what used to be the Wolf reserve that is now home to the Dhole.
Thanks. I've only been once and can't remember too much but wanted to avoid big disappointment if I go again- deffo would like to see this species again. These are the first in the UK in my lifetime.
I think Whipsnade are long past such unusual deer/ungulate species acquisitions nowadays. That mantle seems to have been handed to places like Highland and even now West Midlands to a degree.
This is the first shot of these deer(4.4) at West Mids SP, taken in March. None(?) of them appear to have antlers or any growth at this time. Could have had them sawn off for transportation though(?) as they were quarantined at Edinburgh Zoo for some months before coming here.

According to the former holding listing on Zootierliste, Edinburgh received 4.3 Persian Fallow from Stuttgart (as Jordan says). These animals (assuming there were no losses, which is the case as far as I'm aware - if WM now have 4.4 maybe there was a birth?) then moved to West Mids.
