Shirokuma are these recent photos or from earlier in the year?

I visited at the end of March 2012. I just realised today that I hadn't uploaded any of the pictures.

That's a relief, I thought this was the cold snap Hurricane Birtha was sending down our way, and Finland had copped it first.

No fortunately not! It was quite a miserable day towards the end of winter. Not freezing cold but quite gloomy with sleet turning occasionally to rain and then to snow. The next day was beautifully cold and crisp with heavy snow overnight but unfortunately my camera battery had failed to charge so I couldn't take pictures on that visit.
