Is this the male 'Kalaf'? Are Chessington looking at moving their young male 'Cyrus' (?) on soon? They should have 2.1 (Adult pair + son). They originally had 1.1 (Kalaf and breeding female) and bred 1.2 cubs.
I regret the apparent phasing out of Persian Leopards, although I accept that the dire state of Amur Leopard means that it has to be given priority.
The male of London's original pair of P.p.saxicolor "Fritz", who died in about 1995, was quite simply the biggest Leopard I have ever seen, and the only Leopard that I've known who might just, have exceeded the female Tigers kept in the same zoo.
