Petting zoo building, inside (April 19th, 2015)

Inside of the petting zoo barn. In the back there is an 'attic' that serves as a stable for the goats of the goat petting paddock. The goats are the only petting zoo animals to have an outdoor enclosure. This barn contains pigs, rabbits, degus, rats, pigeons and chinchillas. One cage seemed empty. Chickens and roosters walk around freely inside and outside the barn. This barn and the exhibits in it were renovated a few years ago. Despite the renovation, several of the exhibits look amateuristic, poor and sparse. All in all, the petting zoo definitely isn't the best part of the Olmense Zoo, and for a recently renovated building the exhibits should have been a lot better. Even exhibits for domestic species in a zoo should be subject to high standards, which this petting zoo does not meet.
