Philippine chevrotain fawn

DinD, Chester, 19th February 2017.
My first view of this little one. It is about half the size of its parents now. They were trying to mate again as I was watching the fawn.

I had the pleasure of spending some time watching the family last weekend. An absolute pleasure and privilege. They're quite curious, coming to the front of the enclosure to meet my daughters; great fun.. but I didn't get a shot worthy of sharing. Congrats on doing so, its a great shot GL!

Where can these been seen in the zoo? I've looked for them a couple of times about the zoo but to no avail!

@EquusGrevyi There is a label, but you need to take your time and look carefully as they tend to sit quietly behind a log or near the hideboxes at the back. D in D is always one of my first ports of call at Chester, as it's easier to see many of the animals there when it's quiet.

or indeed late in the afternoon, when you may get lucky with their feed time and they become quite active. Even then, swathes of extremely noisy visitors will stream past and not see them.
