I don't think they had that fence above the wall when I was there years ago. It pretty much ruins the photo opportunities. It also begs the question of why they still need the black railing.
@Arizona Docent Yep, the fence is newer as @snowleopard's photo shows and yep, ruins photo opportunities. Though they're older cats and aren't visible half the time anyway. I assume it's more to stop people from dropping kids into the exhibit, vs cats getting out. I really want them to finally get a new exhibit.
@Arizona Docent Until I saw a guy put his kid on a ledge a few weeks ago at Mystic, I forgot some people still think doing that sort of thing is remotely okay. The wild dog mauling was in 2012 at Pittsburgh, I bet that was the reason for the fencing being put up.
