Philly - Ring-tailed lemurs fighting

@red river hog Is that what that area is? I always thought that was weird, and wondered what that one building at the end was. That would have been neat! These two were really going at it, but it was mostly in the trees.
 
@TinoPup Yeah, I remember seeing a comment on an old picture that said this exhibit was designed as a walkthrough exhibit. I know it's been said multiple times on the forum that there aren't any walthrough lemur exhibits in the US because of lawsuits, but I'm not sure why it would be different in the US and why they would have designed it this way in the first place.
 
@red river hog In the USA it is much, much easier to sue than in most other countries, and common sense isn't often assumed (Ex there should be a sign telling you not to put your hand through the fence, vs people should have the common sense to not do that because animals bite/attack). But yeah, I"m not sure why they would have designed it that way, knowing it wouldn't be usable. It's not even a nice-looking exhibit.
 
@TinoPup Yeah that makes sense. I agree that this exhibit doesn’t look nice, but at least it has a lot of plants. It’s much more natural than the other primate exhibits.
