Not impossible, it's a very large exhibit. I didn't really take notice of how many there were but when I was there I don't believe there were more than 10, if that.
How many animals do they have? It doesn’t look like a large herd. But this may only be a portion of the animals. Looks like a good-sized exhibit, though.

That question was already answered in other posts. Even if these were all the animals (which they aren't) it's still more bison than most zoos have nowadays since almost all breeding happens on ranches and no longer in zoos (thought Bronx does breed theirs). The exhibit is quite large and spacious. It's actually located directly next to the river and waterfalls that I posted pictures of.
