Plains Zebra

Hamilton Zoo currently holds two herds of Plains zebra:

The breeding herd contains the stallion, Malawi (2012); the mares, Marble (2003) and Zalika (2011); the colt, Vakansie (2018); and the two new foals (2019).

The non breeding herd contains three fillies (daughters of Malawi): Kiva (2017), Imivimbo (2017) and Imka (2018).

@Zoofan15 They've a female baby boom! I'm glad you were able to find out their names!! Do you know who Marble's parents were?

@Tafin Yeah, plus one of the new foals is though to be female. Marble’s parents are Shane and Maria (both purebred Grant’s zebra born at Auckland Zoo).
