The Giraffe House in the African Area in Planckendael. This Giraffe House is the cornerstone of the new savannah area and houses the zoos group of kordofan giraffes (Giraffa camelopardalis antiquorum) in state of the art giraffe facilities.
The new savannah area opened in 2008 with animal exhibits, models, ambient sounds of hyenas, hippos etc. and a new giraffe house.
