The exhibit for white-naped cranes (Grus vipio) along the Gir Forest Railway Trail in the Asia Area in Planckendael. Notice the railroad car in the background. Sorry about the poor viewing in this shot, but this was actually the best view possible.
The Asia theme in Planckendael is the newest theme currently being developed. The first major part (Gir Forest and Tropical House) was opened in 2006 while the next major part (elephants) will open in 2012.
