The central island in the South American rainforest theme in the America Area in Planckendael. The island is a large walkthrough exhibit with prime conditions for golden-headed lion tamarins (Leontopithecus chrysomelas) and geoffroy's marmosets (Callithrix geoffroyi) that inhabit it, filled with live trees and plants.
The golden-headed lion tamarin is one of the flagship species of the KMDA who also manages the EEP programme.
