What are in these tubs? In house raising of yabbies and such?
Or seems like some of these are for housing Platypus as I note boxes and tunnels on at least some.
@Great Argus It's temporary holding for wild platypus mainly. They have the capacity to house 65 platypus in this refuge facility in case of extreme weather events, for relocation efforts and rehabilitation. They also plan to house two breeding pairs along with their current display male from Taronga Zoo. San Diego is further supporting Taronga to research captive breeding efforts to really grow the captive population.
@WhistlingKite24 Thanks, that's very interesting. It's weird to know it's for housing mammals as it looks very much like an ornamental fish breeding facility! I hope they see good success in their endeavors to support the Platypus.
