Honestly I'm not a fan of this exhibit's design. Underwater viewing is cool, but more importantly polar bears need saltwater for their coats and their eyes. Part of the reason Oregon's Polar Passage took so long was that of galvanizing their existing pool and building a new galvanized pool to hold saltwater. Maybe this is a saltwater pool, rendering this entire comment moot. What are your thoughts?

@StoppableSan I have no idea whether the pool is a saltwater one or not, but I love this exhibit because it, like many of the newer Polar Bear enclosures in Europe, resembles a Brown Bear habitat. There's no mock-rock grotto anywhere in sight, but instead a large, rambling, naturalistic exhibit for Polar Bears.
