The funds are already in place for a complete renovation of this polar bear exhibit. In the summer months this concrete bowl apparently reaches over 100 degrees Fahrenheit!
When viewed in summer 2019, this entire exhibit had been bulldozed and was a flat dirt lot awaiting construction of an entirely new polar bear complex. It will be interesting to see what the new exhibit looks like.
