I have no idea what a fish eye lens is but it works well. Sadly I cant use your tip of standing tall and hanging the camera over the top of the glass. Im pathetically short. Im lucky to get my hands over the meerkat glass... well its not quiet that bad but in that neighbourhood. Over the glass is a good technique I will have to try in the few places where thats a realistic option for a vertically challenged person such as myself.
