Apparently this Polar Bear exhibit opened in 2015, with a space of 16,000 square feet (0.3 acres) for a couple of bears. That seems quite puny in today's modern world of bear exhibits. Is there an outdoor area?

this enclosure is completely covered, it does not have any external area.according to the São Paulo Aquarium itself, it is the largest air-conditioned enclosure in South America, but the bears clearly show signs of stress, such as walking from one side to another and repeated head movements.
@Matrin71 Thanks for the information. The bears are probably bored out of their minds, but the fact that this enclosure is relatively new is surprising.
