Somewhat refreshing to see a US zoo building that is just a great big animal house without needing to be immersive or even themed.
How long before this gets demolished then?
More seriously, are these exhibits still one-species-per-window (as I would guess they were originally)? Signs seem to be different on each (unless they're mixed). Most European buildings of this type have tended to go for knocking together multiple exhibits to give the animals more space. Nice to see animals with more room, of course, but it's also a shame that it often causes a drop in the collection diversity.
@Maguari: that's funny that this is something that you would regard as European, as I was thinking the same thing! Haha. Anyway, I've heard that this building is not very impressive at all, and in sad need of a bulldozer.
I think most of the exhibits were still seperate one species enclosures, but I admit that I didn't spend much time in here. Note that some of the ape and larger cat enclosures were far larger than the ones shown in this picture!
