Primate, Cat + Aquatics Building - Snow Leopard Exhibit

July 27th, 2010.
Randomly scrolling through ZooChat photo galleries landed me upon this third-world horrorshow ! Are they still kept in this concrete dungeon?

@AndyJ08 @snowleopard No, thankfully. Snow Leopards now have four exhibits they rotate through with the zoo's Amur Leopard in Asian Highlands. (Link is a tour of the area). This exhibit is now used to rotate some of the medium-sized primates. I've seen Wolf's Guneon, Allen's Swamp Monkey, Fossa, and Mangabeys in here. They've recently added more climbing structures and substrate to the exhibit (pc: @TinoPup), as well as fully renovated the outdoor exhibit, as seen in these before (pc: @Moebelle) and after (pc: @Kevin Miller) pictures, making it much more suitable for the primates than Leopards.

@AndyJ08 PC&A was terrible for cats. Snow Leopards, Clouded Leopards, Pallas Cat and Black Footed Cats all lived in exhibits similar to the one above. Thankfully those exhibits are all used for more size appropriate primates/small mammals. Of course, Snow Leopard are in Asian Highlands, Clouded are now in the RainForest, and Pallas/Black Footed left the collection years ago.
