They are an interesting design , but the size looks suitable for tamarins and marmosets , nothing larger. They would be hugely improved by generous planting.I assume the curtain walls are faced against the prevailing wind and they should be quite effective in minimizing visually provoked inter-group stress. If strong winds are not a problem , I would prefer the curtain walls to be not entirely solid , incorpoprating some mesh , and retain the visual barrier through dense planting.Perhaps the climatic factors in this location make these solid barriers a comfortable option for the animals , but in a warmer location I would opt for the solution I have outlined. This type of construction is good value for money in all respects , including mid-term and long-term as it is low-maintenance.I feel we will be seeing similar constructions in several zoos before long, hence my interest.
