Amazing species you were able to see! I'm glad they have Przewalski's Gazelle and I hope they are breeding them. Thank you for posting the photos of these species!
@Summer Tanager Thanks! The facility previously maintained a small breeding population in the 2000s but now focuses exclusively on caring for non-releasable rescued individuals. The Qinghai Lake Biodiversity Conservation Center, situated within the species' natural habitat, is currently the only institution designated to sustain a breeding population.
Thank you for this additional information! I wasn't away of any of that. I didn't know that there was a breeding facility within the species range or that there was a facility for non-releasable animals. Now that I look at this photo more closely, it looks like this gazelle's left hind leg has an injury or a shaved section just above the hoof.
