I like the integration of Monkey puzzle trees (Araucaria araucana) into this enclosure. The use of this tree species is definitely geographically appropriate here considering that Southern pudu (Pudu puda) are displayed.
@UngulateNerd92 This enclosure was demolished and turned into a walkabout for greater rheas and wallabies. I wish I was kidding, but the new Wildlands development threw geographical consistency out the door in favor of three biomes: Jungola, Serenga and Nortica. This and the former Playa Pinguinos area were incorporated into the Serenga part of Wildlands.
@StoppableSan And they did this soon after the park was built? What a waste of resources if you ask me... I am sorry to hear that... In my opinion, such a move is not conducive to conservation and environmental stewardship (considering the amount of extracted resources that it took to build these exhibits in the first place). Sorry to sound harsh, but frankly it sounds like an erratic decision.
A mixed exhibit for Greater rheas and Wallabies, that disappoints me....
