Thank you very much for your comment. We try to provide a suitable habitat and care to our animals and the reproduction of most of them indicates that they are comfortably.
 
It rescued male specimen. It was a pet and unfortunately is neutered and declawed.
The subspecies is Puma concolor capricorniensis
 
It's a shame that he's neutered and declawed, he's a beautiful specimen. Is he the only Cougar at the zoo?

Yes, it's the only one. As our goal is the reintroduction of species in their natural environment, we have focused our breeding programs on two small cats: margay and pampas cat.
Uruguay is a small country and is complicated survival of big cats, pumas are very few free specimens.
