Purple-faced Langur (Trachypithecus vetulus philbricki)

Reactions: amur leopard
There are four subspecies of the Purple-faced Langur, an endemic species of Sri Lanka. I saw all four while I was there but did not manage to get any photos of the critically-endangered Western Purple-faced Langur T. v. nestor.

The subspecies in this photo is the Dry-zone Purple-faced Langur T. v. philbricki, taken at Sigiriya. It is the only photo I managed to get of this subspecies, and I only saw them just this one time.
