Purple Gallinule

Finally got a few pictures of this bird that I have usually only had a very brief glimpse of.

Well congrats! I know how hard you have been trying this year to capture all of the birds. Getting one of the harder ones to catch must have felt great.

Great picture of a bird I've never seen at the zoo! I know it's in the Americas but which specific section is it in?

The walk-thru. I have many times seen it disappearing into the ground foliage, but today I went there ASAP, arriving about 9:05, and this is the first pic I took. Very soon it got up, stretched, and went to the ground and into the foliage. The keepers have a hard time catching sight of it too.

Yeah, I've never seen this guy before. Great show of tenacity.
