Pygmy hippo exhibit - Parken Zoo, Eskilstuna

The pygmy hippo exhibit at Parken Zoo is divided into two sections, the barrier is seen to the left. This photo shows a view of the right section.
The big greenhouse in the background is Amazoonas, a South-american tropical house.

I dont think this is a really good exbith , but I like your photo! Havent the hippos live in the "bird pool" also? (The pool with capybaras in the South american area, near the flamingo pool)

During my last visit for the summer, one of the pygmy hippos lived in this enclosure, another in the big african aviary next to this enclosure and the third (the male?) lived in the old bird pond in the south american section as you said (the capybaras lived in the same enclosure as the tapirs).

Yes, one of the females live (lived?) in the aviary during the summer (of course indoors wintertime). It's a quite big aviary with african theme including species such as crowned crane, white stork, cattle egrets, vulturine guineafowls and some more. I'll see if I have some pictures of the pygmy hippo in there.
