@Mossman Joe, I would hope that the PKBSI and associated zoos with pygmy hippos work more closely on breeding within RM Indonesia and perhaps have some animal exchanges for the species with zoos in the SEAZA region.
Pygmy hippo groups are and/or were held by Bogor (TSI-I), Pasuruan (TSI II Prigen), Bali Safari Park, Jakarta - Ragunan, Surabaya and Yogyakarta.
Single individuals further at Sinka Island (a female from Surabaya, (may or may not still be held there) and Bandung (had another lone male individual from Surabaya Zoo).
