Quagga 30.12.22

This is the skin of London Zoo’s quagga mare that arrived at the zoo on 15th March 1851 and died 7th July 1872; the only quagga known to have been photographed alive.
(Incidentally, the skeleton of this quagga is in the Peabody Museum, Yale University, USA.)
