Tim May 24 Nov 2014 This is London Zoo’s quagga mare that arrived at the zoo on 15th March 1851 and died 7th July 1872
P P Pertinax 26 Nov 2014 I know that you are correct on this, but do they say this is the animal photo'd at London, or is it just labelled 'Quagga'?

The label specifically states that it is that particular London Zoo animal. (Incidentally, this contrasts with the label on the Edinburgh Museum thylacine; this does not mention that it was one of the London Zoo thylacines.)
